Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 September 2026 · Applies to JomInvoice for iPhone and iPad, version 1.0
JomInvoice keeps your business records on your device. This policy explains exactly what that means, what the app does and does not do with your information, and how to get your data out or delete it.
In one paragraph. Everything you enter into JomInvoice — your customers, invoices, quotes, jobs, expenses, payments and attachments — is stored on your device and nowhere else. There is no account to create. The app contains no analytics service, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party code, and it does not transmit your records to us or to anyone else. We could not read your invoices if we wanted to, because we never receive them.
Who this policy is from
JomInvoice is an independently developed iOS and iPadOS app. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean the developer of JomInvoice, and "the app" means JomInvoice. You can reach us at info@qshoppro.com.
What the app stores, and where
The app stores the information you choose to enter, in a database inside its own sandbox on your device. That includes:
- Your business details — name, address, registration and tax details, bank and payment references, and your logo if you add one
- Customers and their contact details, as you type them
- Invoices, quotes, jobs, expenses, payments, receipts and statements
- Photos you attach, such as a receipt or a job photo, and any PDFs the app generates
- Your app preferences, such as your chosen invoice template and document numbering
None of this leaves your device through the app. There is no server run by us for the app to send it to.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your records, or any copy of them.
- We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, crash reports or diagnostics. The app records a small set of product events — such as "an invoice was created" — to the device's own log while a developer is running it. Those events contain no names, no amounts and no free text, and they are never transmitted anywhere.
- We do not use advertising identifiers, and there is no advertising in the app.
- We do not track you across apps or websites, and the app contains no tracking technology.
- We do not sell or share personal information with anyone, because we do not have it.
- We do not require an email address, phone number, name or any login to use the app.
Permissions the app may ask for
iOS shows a prompt the first time the app needs one of these. You can decline any of them, and you can change your mind later in iOS Settings. Each is used only for the purpose described.
| Permission | What it is used for | Where the content goes |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Photographing a receipt to log an expense, or attaching a photo to a job | Stays on your device |
| Photo library (read) | Choosing your business logo, or attaching an existing photo | Stays on your device |
| Photo library (add) | Saving an exported PDF to your photos, when you choose to | Written to your own photo library |
| Face ID / Touch ID | Locking the app so only you can open it | Handled by iOS; the app never sees your biometric data |
| Notifications | Reminders you set yourself, such as an overdue invoice | Scheduled locally on your device |
Receipt scanning is the one feature worth calling out: when you photograph a receipt, the text on it is read by Apple's on-device text recognition. The image and the text it produces are processed on your device and are not uploaded.
Text recognition and other processing
JomInvoice has no artificial-intelligence service and no server-side processing of any kind. Everything the app does — adding up an invoice, applying tax, rendering a PDF, reading a receipt — happens on your device.
Cloud sync
This version of JomInvoice has no cloud sync. Your records are local only. The app ships with the capability switched off and there is no stored account, no server project and no sync in progress.
If a later version adds optional sync, it would be off unless you turned it on, it would require an account you create deliberately, and this policy would be updated before that version shipped — including what would be stored, where, and how to delete it.
Backups, and the one way data can leave the device
The app itself sends nothing. However, the data sits in the app's own storage, which means two ordinary iOS behaviours apply and both are under your control:
- Device backups. If you back up your iPhone or iPad to iCloud or to a computer, app data — including JomInvoice's — is included in that backup. That is Apple's service, governed by Apple's terms and your own backup settings, not by us.
- Sharing and export. When you share an invoice PDF, export a CSV or JSON file, or send a reminder, the app hands that document to the iOS share sheet and you pick the destination. Once you send it somewhere, that copy is governed by whatever you sent it to.
Third parties
The app bundles no third-party software development kits, no analytics libraries and no advertising networks. The only external party involved in a normal installation is Apple: the App Store distributes the app, and iOS provides the operating system services described above. Apple's handling of your information is described in Apple's privacy policy.
How long we keep your information
We do not hold your information at all, so there is nothing for us to retain and no retention period on our side. On your device, data stays until you delete it or delete the app.
Your rights and your control
Because your data never reaches us, you exercise these rights directly, in the app, without needing to ask us:
- Access and portability — Settings exports everything as CSV or as JSON, at any time.
- Correction — every record can be edited in the app.
- Deletion — Settings erases the entire store and returns the app to its first-run state. Deleting the app also deletes its data.
- Objection and restriction — there is no processing to object to, since nothing is processed away from your device.
We cannot action a data-access or deletion request on your behalf, and this is a limitation of the design rather than an excuse: we hold no record that could be found, corrected or erased. If you contact us asking us to delete your data, the honest answer is that we have none, and the deletion you want is the one in your own Settings screen.
Security
Your data is protected by the protections of your device: the app's sandbox, the device passcode, and iOS file encryption. You can additionally require Face ID or Touch ID before the app opens, under Settings. No system is perfect, and no app can protect data on a device that is already unlocked and in someone else's hands — which is why the lock option exists, and why we recommend it.
Children
JomInvoice is a business tool and is not directed at children. It is not intended for use by anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children — indeed, we collect no personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change is significant — for example, if a future version introduces optional sync — it will be described here before that version is released, and the in-app link to this page will point at the updated text.
