Privacy Policy

DuniyaDots is a private prayer-tracking app. This policy explains exactly what happens to your information, and it is deliberately short because very little happens.
The short version
DuniyaDots does not have a server, an account system, or any analytics. Your prayer history, your reflections and your location stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded, sold, or shared.
What the app stores, and where
Everything below is stored only on your device, in the app's own private storage (and, for widget data, in an App Group container shared with the DuniyaDots widget extension). None of it is transmitted anywhere.

Deleting the app deletes all of it. You can also erase everything from within the app using Settings › Reset all data, which removes every record immediately.
Location
Location is used for one purpose only: calculating local prayer times on your device.
- Location is optional. If you decline, you can choose a city by hand and every feature still works.
- The app requests location only when you tap “Use my location” — never on launch, and never in the background.
- Your coordinates are never sent to us or to anyone else. Prayer times are computed locally by an offline calculation library.
- We do not access your location while the app is closed.
If you grant location access once, the app remembers the last coordinates it received so it can keep working offline. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services.
Photo library (wallpaper)
If you choose a photo to place behind your wallpaper artwork, iOS shows you a picker that runs outside the app. DuniyaDots receives only the single image you select — it has no access to the rest of your library. A copy of that image is kept inside the app's own storage on your device, so your wallpaper can be rebuilt later, and it is never uploaded.
Tapping Save to Photos asks iOS for add-only permission: the app can add the image you asked it to export, and cannot read, browse or change anything already in your library. If you decline, nothing else in the app is affected — you can still share the image with the standard iOS share sheet, which you control.
Setting the wallpaper is handled by Apple's Shortcuts app, not by DuniyaDots. The app provides the image; Shortcuts is the only thing permitted to change your wallpaper, and it asks for your permission first.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. There is no push server and no remote notification infrastructure. If you decline notifications, nothing is scheduled.
What we do not do
- We do not require an account or collect any personal identifiers.
- We do not collect analytics, crash telemetry, or usage statistics.
- We do not use advertising or third-party advertising SDKs.
- We do not track you across apps or websites (the app has no tracking domains).
- We do not sell or share data with third parties, because we never receive it.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Data collection declaration
In accordance with Apple's App Privacy requirements, DuniyaDots declares: Data Not Collected. The app collects no data of any kind from this app. All processing happens on-device.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of DuniyaDots adds a feature that changes any of the above — for example, optional iCloud sync — this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
